This role involves providing comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for a specialized area of pharmacy practice. The pharmacist will participate in inter-disciplinary patient care team rounds, provide consultative input on drug therapy, manage clinical pharmacy programs, monitor patient populations, recommend therapy adjustments, provide patient education, and authorize/verify orders. They will also document clinical activities, collaborate with healthcare providers on disease management programs, and contribute to the development of medication use management programs. The position requires clinical leadership, mentoring, and directing the work of technicians. Additionally, the role involves conducting QA, MUE, or research, participating in departmental QA processes, and serving as a preceptor for pharmacy residents and students. The pharmacist will also provide didactic lectures, resolve patient care problems, and maintain professional memberships and engagement in local, regional, and national organizations. Other duties as assigned.
