The Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist for the R&I Primary Care Team plays a pivotal role in channeling AstraZeneca's scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives. This role involves developing superior product and disease state knowledge to educate healthcare professionals on clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on-label prescribing. The specialist will function independently to drive sales performance, meet sales forecasts and budgets, and maintain in-depth knowledge of their assigned sales territory, including market, demographic, and managed care information. They will partner with management to develop local strategies and business plans, capitalize on opportunities through effective implementation of Strategic Targeting Plans, and provide special education to healthcare providers within ethical guidelines. Collaboration with other Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists is also a key aspect of the role.
