About The Position

The Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Finishing Operator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Finishing Department. This includes tasks such as sorting, polishing, printing, packaging, and reprocessing of capsules. Additionally, the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Finishing Operator is expected to complete training on these responsibilities within a reasonable timeframe. This position is 100% on-site at the Strathroy site, located in Strathroy, Ontario. The company offers softgel development and manufacturing capabilities for the Pharmaceutical and Consumer Health industries, with a broad range of integrated formulation, manufacturing, analytical and packaging services to offer full-service turnkey solutions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED/CAEC and/or educational credential assessment (ECA) is required.
• Candidates with non-Canadian credentials must provide an evaluation confirming the Canadian equivalency of the credentials as determined by the Alliance of Credential Evaluation Services of Canada (ACESC) such as WES.
• Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.(both verbal and written).
• Works cooperatively in teams, communicates clearly and has effective listening skills.
• Ability to work independently, as required and complete daily activities according to schedule.
• Possess a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong mechanical aptitude needed for integrated lines.
• Must be fully qualified and in good standing on finishing modules.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• The employee's role frequently involves sitting and utilizing hands and fingers for tasks such as handling, feeling, and keyboard manipulation, necessitating manual dexterity.
• Occasionally, the position requires standing, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, alongside close vision capabilities and potential exposure to chemicals.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical and/or GMP facility is preferred.
• This position does not qualify for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with operator from previous shift - during shift change, regarding necessary facts and current events related to the daily operations.
• Complete all documentation required as per Master Batch Production Records.
• Cleans, maintains, and operates all equipment for both Integrated Lines, including but not limited to roller grader, twin separator, printers, symetix, bagger, and sealer.
• Maintains all work areas in a clean and organized state at all times.
• Training team members in processes and procedures is required.
• Follows all Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Procedures and Safety procedures.
• Must be fully qualified and in good standing on finishing modules.
• Other duties as assigned.
