About The Position

The Pharmaceutical Development Technician I is responsible for performing setup/teardown, manufacture, and cleaning of all equipment and processes associated with manufacturing operations under supervision from senior technicians. This role is crucial for ensuring cGMP compliance and maintaining good housekeeping practices. The technician will also ensure adherence to all Catalent safety procedures, identify and communicate potential safety concerns, and ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). A key focus is on learning all equipment and testing within the core group while upholding high quality standards and maintaining up-to-date training on equipment and site procedures. Daily tasks include stocking working areas with proper materials and supplies, performing physical characterization testing on raw and in-process materials, supporting sampling and packaging of in-process and finished product material, and maintaining an active inventory of excipients and API used for experimental processing. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to manage priorities and projects effectively.
  • Must communicate clearly with all levels of management.
  • Capability to work in a matrix organization.
  • Maintains current knowledge of cGMP regulations and regulatory trends as they pertain to the stated responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring cGMP compliance and good housekeeping.
  • Ensuring all Catalent safety procedures are followed and identifying/communicating necessary adjustments to address potential safety concerns.
  • Ensuring the proper use of PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).
  • Learning all equipment and testing within the core group while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Maintaining up-to-date training on equipment and site procedures.
  • Performing daily tasks to ensure working areas are stocked with proper materials and supplies.
  • Performing physical characterization testing on raw and in-process materials.
  • Supporting sampling and packaging of in-process and finished product material.
  • Maintaining an active inventory of excipients and API used for experimental processing.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
