About The Position
As a PH Registered Nurse within the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. Requirements
- Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
- Completion of a PHN course within one year of hire
- Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license
- CPR certification
Nice To Haves
- One year of public health experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience with HIV, STI care, treatment and prevention
Responsibilities
- Under supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures.
- Will work within the following programs HIV, STI, PrEP and nPEP
- Will focus on prevention of illness, injury or disability
- Promote health and maintenance of the population
- Perform other duties as assigned
