PH Registered Nurse 1
About The Position
The Georgia Department of Public Health is hiring a full-time, benefit-eligible PH Registered Nurse 1. Under supervision, the nurse provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies, and procedures. The position is primarily located at the Lanier County Health Department in Lakeland, Georgia, three days per week, and the Berrien County Health Department in Nashville, Georgia, two days per week. Qualified candidates will have Georgia Public Health protocols; preference is given to candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. The role may require assisting with the department’s emergency responsibilities when an emergency is identified. Candidates may be subject to pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check.
Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
- Complete a PHN course within one year of hire.
- Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license.
- CPR certification.
- Knowledge of Georgia Public Health protocols.
