About The Position

Air Products is hiring a Ph.D. Chemical Engineer to join their rotational innovation program, the PhD Career Development Program (PhD CDP). Participants will rotate through three unique 1-year assignments in R&D, Engineering, and/or Plant Operations. This program aims to develop an extensive network within the company and provide access to top technical leaders. The role involves creating immediate business impact through innovation and applying fundamental engineering skills with a mix of experimental, computational, and theoretical approaches.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Pursuing a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.
• Completing or completed Ph.D. studies and defense by June 2027.
• Able to travel both domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Conduct challenging opportunities ranging from fundamental and exploratory research to innovative processes & products development.
• Utilize theoretical and experimental approaches in new products, process technology, and applications development.
• Carry out experimental investigations at laboratory, pilot plant, and commercial scale.
• Work at both Air Products and customer sites.
