Job Summary PetroTech interns will support BKV’s engineering teams by assisting with project-based tasks, data analysis, technical documentation, and hands ‑ on problem ‑ solving. This role is designed to provide practical experience in an engineering environment, offering an opportunity to deliver a real-world project, cross-functional collaboration, and professional development opportunities. May be required to document project developments and provide regular updates to supervisors, assist with designing, optimizing , and supporting extraction processes, reservoir analysis, and drilling operations. The intern may prepare engineering calculations, conduct field data collection, use CAD/simulation software, and prepare technical reports. The intern will work alongside experienced engineers, geoscience professionals, and cross ‑ functional stakeholders to contribute meaningfully to ongoing initiatives that advance BKV ’ s operational excellence and innovation goals.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering tools (e.g., CAD, MATLAB, Python, simulation tools).

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering , Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers with the design, development, testing, and evaluation of products, equipment, or systems.
  • Create and update technical documentation, drawings, and reports.
  • Conduct research and gather data to support engineering decisions.
  • Help prepare materials for meetings, presentations, or project reviews.
  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, and analysis under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Support quality assurance activities, including inspections and verification tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in operations, including upstream and midstream.
  • Maintain organized project files and follow departmental procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve products and processes.
