About The Position

Neumayer Equipment is seeking a Petroleum Service Technician to join its Service Technician Team in Springfield, Missouri. The position involves driving to locations in the area to service equipment. The technician troubleshoots, repairs, installs, and commissions petroleum fueling systems and related equipment while providing attentive service to customers. The role may involve an on-call rotation, including some nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as periodic out-of-town work with expenses paid by the employer. The company provides a truck, fuel card, on-the-job training, and safety equipment.

Requirements

Knowledge of electricity and electrical equipment, along with mechanical ability.
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation that includes some nights, weekends, and holidays.
Knowledge of computer software and networking.
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical.
Valid state driver's license.
Flexibility to perform periodic out-of-town work.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience as a service technician, HVAC installer, or cable installer.
Gilbarco, Veeder-Root, and Verifone certifications; preferred but not required.
Experience with petroleum service stations; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair fueling systems, including fuel dispenser electronics and hydraulics, submersible turbine pumps, monitoring equipment, and point-of-sale systems.
Install new equipment and commission it according to manufacturer specifications.
Analyze electronic and mechanical issues and make appropriate repairs.
Manage truck-stock inventory and return unused or core parts to the warehouse.
Routinely meet or exceed customer expectations.
Communicate with customers and explain equipment issues and repairs in understandable terms.
Maintain knowledge and certifications for supported equipment.
