Requirements

High School Graduate or equivalent
Ability to be lead inspector on crude or product Barge transfers / Shore Tank Transfers
Valid TWIC or ability to obtain
Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record is required.
Physical requirements to include: Lifting, walking, standing, reaching, bending, stooping, climbing, squatting and driving.

Nice To Haves

Preferred 1 Year as a petroleum inspector
TIC certified inspectors preferred
Valero Port Arthur approved inspectors preferred

Responsibilities

Performing volume measurement, temperature measurement and sampling of commodity materials contained or conveyed in lines, shore tanks, cars, tank trucks and barges and ships.
Completing custody transfer surveys of commodities transferred to and from rail cars, tank trucks, shore tanks, barges and ships.
Performing routine equipment calibrations, verification and function checks.
Verifying and communicating the results obtained and making entries into the appropriate media.
Organizing and coordinating jobs to ensure services are rendered and reports and samples are submitted in a timely manner.
Maintaining work areas, records and equipment in a clean, organized and functional condition.
Being detailed oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload with efficient time management.
