About The Position

Nwestco is looking for a hands-on Service Technician to join our Fresno team. Petroleum experience is NOT required; we’re willing to train candidates with strong mechanical or electrical troubleshooting and repair experience. If you’ve worked as a mechanic, maintenance technician, electrician, HVAC tech, equipment technician, field service tech, or in another skilled trade, your experience could translate well into this role.

Requirements

• Hands-on mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting experience
• Experience repairing or maintaining equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Dependable, safety-focused, and willing to learn
• Ability to work independently and interact with customers
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug-screening and background check.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive drug test, including screening for marijuana, as a condition of employment.
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a current, valid and unrestricted driver’s license
• No DUI convictions or driver’s license suspensions or revocations within the past five (5) years.
• Meeting the Company’s automobile insurance eligibility requirements.

• Experience with Gilbarco, Wayne, Veeder-Root, Gasboy, Verifone, dispensers, POS systems, or UST/AST systems

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment
• Service fuel dispensers, pumps, motors, sensors, controls, and monitoring systems
• Diagnose equipment failures and replace faulty components
• Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Respond to service calls at customer locations
• Use meters, diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools
• Work independently in a field-service environment
