About The Position

Pets Are Family Pet Sitting Services LLC is seeking compassionate adults who are passionate about working with animals to join their growing team. This role involves providing reliable, timely, and loving care to clients' pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, pocket pets, and reptiles, while clients are traveling. The company emphasizes a collaborative, supportive, and friendly environment, with a strong focus on relationships and hospitality. Previous experience is valued but not required, as new employees receive initial and ongoing paid training. The role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to engage in joyful work such as dog walks and cat cuddles.

Requirements

• Love working with animals and be passionate about their welfare.
• Love both cats and dogs.
• Comfortable feeding, walking, and playing with pets according to their individual needs.
• Ability to make a 6-month commitment.
• Consistent morning/evening availability.
• Available to work at least 2 weekends a month.
• Able to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve & Day, New Year's Eve & New Year's Day.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Reliable car and live in or very close (within 5 miles) to the community where you will work.
• Reliable smartphone that can support company software and takes clear photos.
• Ability to pass a criminal/vehicle background check.
• At least 18 years of age and a high school graduate.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in pet sitting.
• Experience with large dog handling (1 year preferred).
• Experience with cat care.

Responsibilities

• Provide feeding, walking, companionship, and playtime for pets.
• Perform basic home care tasks such as plant watering and mail pickup.
• Monitor the behavior and health of pets and report any concerns to the supervisor.
• Document daily activities and report any unusual behavior or incidents to the company and pet guardians.
• Provide exceptional customer service to pet guardians by promptly addressing questions or concerns.
