University Cancer & Blood Center (UCBC) is seeking a full-time Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist for its Covington location. This role is responsible for the overall technical quality in the assigned area, coordinating daily staff assignments, reviewing exam/therapy orders, assisting with staff dosimetry, and coordinating multi-modality patients. The technologist will also maintain radioactive waste records, handle initial patient complaints, arrange preventive maintenance, prepare radioactive isotopes, and maintain QMP records. Key responsibilities include performing diagnostic PET/CT or Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures, including injections, protocol setup, image reconstruction, and network transfers. The role also involves starting peripheral IVs, accessing central venous catheters, operating a glucometer, assisting with procedure scheduling, maintaining patient confidentiality, offering expertise to physicians, escorting patients, assisting with dressings, completing paperwork, ensuring patient and self-protection, conducting daily quality control, reporting equipment malfunctions, maintaining PET supplies, and utilizing EMR for patient history, documentation, rescheduling, and billing. Assistance with ACR renewal and other duties as assigned are also part of the role.
