About The Position

Do you love grooming and working with pets? At That Groom Room @ That Fish Place - That Pet Place, we value our groomers and are committed to providing a safe, supportive environment where you can focus on what you do best. Our groomers receive 55% commission or a guaranteed $17/hour base rate, whichever is higher each pay period. Plus, you keep 100% of your tips!

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional salon grooming experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of breed profiles, coat types, and grooming techniques
• Experience with professional scissoring and clipping
• Gentle, patient, and compassionate approach to pet handling
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality and safety
• Ability to safely handle and lift pets up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, trimming, nail care, and ear cleaning.
• Consult with pet parents regarding grooming preferences and special instructions.
• Safely and compassionately handle pets of all sizes and temperaments.
• Maintain high standards for grooming quality, pet safety, cleanliness, and sanitation.
• Monitor pets for signs of stress, illness, or injury and communicate concerns appropriately.
• Build positive relationships with customers and recommend appropriate grooming services or products.
