About The Position

Bark & Mane is a luxury mobile pet grooming service that provides one-on-one grooming to pets at their homes. They are looking for a founding groomer to help establish their brand and standards in Los Angeles. This role emphasizes craftsmanship over volume, with a focus on providing a premium, unhurried grooming experience in a fully equipped van. The company welcomes and prefers groomers skilled in feline grooming. The position offers W-2 employment, competitive salary, tips, and a humane schedule designed to prevent burnout.

Requirements

3+ years of professional grooming experience (salon or mobile), with work you're proud of.
Skilled and comfortable grooming cats (strongly preferred).
Confident across all breeds and sizes, including breed-standard and stylized cuts.
A craftsperson's eye, professionalism, warmth with clients, and a genuine love of animals.
Ambitious - you want to build something, not just clock in.
A valid California driver's license and a driving record acceptable to our insurer.
Able to perform the essential functions of mobile grooming, with or without reasonable accommodation (including safely handling and lifting pets).
Authorized to work in the United States.

AKC S.A.F.E. certification a plus (we'll support you in earning it.)

Responsibilities

Full-service premium grooming — bath, breed-standard and stylized cuts, nails, ears — for dogs and cats of every breed and size.
Deliver our signature Well-Being WrapUp on every pet.
Be the face of a high-end brand, building warm, trusted relationships with discerning clients and their pets.
Drive and maintain your grooming van safely across our LA service area.
