About The Position

Cancer Specialists of North Florida (CSNF) is seeking a PET/CT Technologist for their busy Specialty Practice. This full-time position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus. The PET/CT Technologist works under the general direction of the PET/CT Manager and with the clinical supervision of the reading physician to perform examinations on patients of all ages for diagnostic purposes. CSNF emphasizes exceptional patient care and a healthy work-life balance, with no weekend or holiday hours required.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Certification through an accredited Nuclear Medicine and/or Radiology Program.
Two (2) to Five (5) years of PET/CT experience and/or general nuclear medicine experience.
Registered with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board and/or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
Current CNMT and/or ARRT (N).
For dual certified applicants, must hold CT certified license or be registry eligible.

Responsibilities

Performs ordered examinations (PET/CT and/or Diagnostic CT) of appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site reading physician.
Maintains patient care, comfort, and safety during transport to and from the mobile coach/facility, and during the exam.
Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in company sponsored training programs.
Under guidance and approval of supervising physician, administers contrast agents and/or radiopharmaceuticals according to site-specific protocols.
Completes and signs the Patient Screening form and reviews/explains the procedure to the patient.
Provides images to the radiologist in the desired format.
Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent team members.
If applicable, assists with the set up and/or shut down of equipment in accordance with CSNF and/or manufacturers’ guidelines.
Maintains a clean environment inside and outside of the mobile coach/facility.
Completes necessary administrative tasks (i.e. EMR charges, QA, Imaging Assessments).
Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality.
Cooperates with facility healthcare professionals and complies with facility policies/procedures.
Maintains current permits to practice.
All other duties as assigned.
