About The Position

Cancer Specialists of North Florida (CSNF) is seeking a PET/CT Technologist for their busy Specialty Practice. This full-time position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus. The PET/CT Technologist works under the general direction of the PET/CT Manager and with the clinical supervision of the reading physician to perform examinations on patients of all ages for diagnostic purposes. CSNF emphasizes exceptional patient care and a healthy work-life balance, with no weekend or holiday hours required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification through an accredited Nuclear Medicine and/or Radiology Program.
  • Two (2) to Five (5) years of PET/CT experience and/or general nuclear medicine experience.
  • Registered with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board and/or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.
  • Current CNMT and/or ARRT (N).
  • For dual certified applicants, must hold CT certified license or be registry eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Performs ordered examinations (PET/CT and/or Diagnostic CT) of appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site reading physician.
  • Maintains patient care, comfort, and safety during transport to and from the mobile coach/facility, and during the exam.
  • Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in company sponsored training programs.
  • Under guidance and approval of supervising physician, administers contrast agents and/or radiopharmaceuticals according to site-specific protocols.
  • Completes and signs the Patient Screening form and reviews/explains the procedure to the patient.
  • Provides images to the radiologist in the desired format.
  • Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent team members.
  • If applicable, assists with the set up and/or shut down of equipment in accordance with CSNF and/or manufacturers’ guidelines.
  • Maintains a clean environment inside and outside of the mobile coach/facility.
  • Completes necessary administrative tasks (i.e. EMR charges, QA, Imaging Assessments).
  • Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Cooperates with facility healthcare professionals and complies with facility policies/procedures.
  • Maintains current permits to practice.
  • All other duties as assigned.
