About The Position

Tipp to Tail Pet Resort, part of the award-winning Tipp City Veterinary Hospital, is looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Pet Comfort Specialists to join their growing team. This role offers a chance to work in a supportive, people-and-pet-focused environment. Tipp to Tail is more than a pet resort; it's a home-away-from-home for pets, offering veterinary care, grooming, boarding, daycare, and training. The facility has recently undergone a significant expansion, increasing its size and services, including new feline boarding and dedicated exotic species housing. As a Pet Comfort Specialist, you will play a key role in providing pets with a safe, enriching, and comfortable stay.

Requirements

  • A love for animals and an interest in their care and comfort
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to take direction and grow with feedback
  • Basic computer literacy (email, record-keeping systems)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required (current high school students exempt)
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Must have reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in pet care, vet med, or hospitality is a plus - but not required. We provide thorough, paid training.
  • Valid driver's license preferred

Responsibilities

  • Feeding, exercising, and monitoring pets during their stay
  • Providing enrichment and one-on-one attention
  • Cleaning and sanitizing kennels, play areas, and lodging suites
  • Monitoring the health and well-being of guests and reporting concerns to medical staff
  • Administering basic medications and supplements as directed
  • Ensuring a clean, safe, and stress-free environment for all animals
  • Communicating clearly and professionally with pet owners and teammates
  • Assisting in daycare, boarding, or training activities as needed
