Pet Care Technician
About The Position
As a Pet Care Technician at K9 Resorts of Jacksonville, you will help maintain a clean environment and provide compassionate care for dogs. The role involves cleaning accommodations, giving baths, managing doggie daycare, and ensuring guests’ well-being and happiness. Strong communication and observation skills and attention to detail are essential. Requirements
- Ability to lift at least 20 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Some weekend and holiday hours are required.
- A “Can-Do” attitude with an outgoing, positive, and enthusiastic personality.
- Demonstrate a love for dogs.
- Strong communication and observation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours or more.
Responsibilities
- Achieve the mission and goals of K9 Resorts.
- Ensure all guests are cared for in compliance with company standards.
- Oversee the health and well-being of dogs in daycare and boarding.
- Maintain the sanitation of all accommodations and outdoor areas.
- Perform body checks to identify pre-existing conditions and/or injuries.
- Run dogs from daycare or boarding to customers.
- Provide personal playtimes for dogs.
- Take dogs outside for elimination breaks.
- Perform additional tasks as requested by management.
