About The Position

Floofins & Company is a family-owned, professional dog walking and pet-sitting company serving Lombard, Villa Park, Elmhurst and surrounding communities. We are hiring a part-time Pet Care Specialist to join our afternoon and evening team. This is a combined role -- all Pet Care Specialists perform both dog walking and in-home pet sitting as part of their regular route. This position works especially well for anyone seeking an afternoon and evening schedule, independent outdoor work, and meaningful supplemental income. Because the role includes two visit blocks per day, candidates who live within a comfortable commute of our central service area in Lombard tend to find the schedule most sustainable. Requirements

Consistent afternoon and evening availability, Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-10:00 PM
Reliable personal transportation and a reasonable commute to the Lombard area service region
Dependable, communicative, and detail-oriented
Comfortable working independently between client homes in all weather
Ability to commit for 6-12 months
Holiday availability required (pet care continues on major holidays)
Must be willing to complete reference checks, a background check, and a drug screening

Responsibilities

Conduct dinner visits and evening dog walks in Lombard, and nearby areas
Provide in-home pet sitting including feeding, water refresh, and litter care
Perform bedtime potty breaks and late-night check-ins as scheduled
Administer pet medications when required
Send real-time visit updates and photos to clients through our mobile app
Maintain a reliable, consistent daily route across a split afternoon and evening shift
