About The Position

Kennelwood Pet Resorts is hiring a part-time Boarding Attendant to provide safe, attentive, and consistent care for pets staying at the resort. The role involves hands-on care for dogs, cats, and other pets, maintaining clean and comfortable accommodations, and communicating with teammates and leadership to support consistent care. Training is provided on the company’s established pet-care procedures and expectations; previous professional animal-care experience is preferred but not required.

The listed shift is 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. Pet care operates seven days a week, and schedules may include weekdays, early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak occupancy periods. Availability requirements vary by opening and location.

This active position requires extended periods of standing and walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and regularly lifting or carrying approximately 40 pounds and occasionally up to approximately 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Work involves direct interaction with live animals and exposure to barking, animal hair and dander, water, cleaning products, animal waste, and indoor and outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide meals, fresh water, exercise, enrichment, and individual attention to dogs, cats, and other pets.
• Follow each pet’s care, feeding, medication, and handling instructions.
• Monitor pets for changes in behavior, appetite, health, or overall well-being.
• Walk and safely handle dogs of different sizes, breeds, temperaments, and activity levels.
• Clean and sanitize boarding accommodations, pet-care areas, bowls, equipment, and other spaces.
• Complete laundry and help maintain clean bedding and supplies.
• Accurately document care activities, medications, observations, and concerns.
• Communicate with teammates and leadership to ensure consistent care throughout each pet’s stay.
• Support the team as needed to maintain a safe, clean, and organized resort.
