About The Position

All Creature Features is looking for a full-time Pet Care Attendant to care for patients and support veterinary technician and doctor teams. Pet Care Attendants play an integral role in bringing comfort to patients while helping maintain the organization, cleanliness, and safety of the hospital. This role involves feeding, walking, and bathing pets, keeping kennels clean, and monitoring patients for changes in health or behavior. The ideal candidate is organized, quick on their feet, comfortable caring for scared or injured animals, and eager to learn and grow in veterinary medicine.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of routine animal care, including feeding, walking, and bathing

  • Excellent communication skills
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • The ability to follow instructions carefully and accurately
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to stay on your feet in a busy environment
  • Comfort working with dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and other animals
  • The ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 40 pounds
  • A team-focused attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
  • Customer service experience
  • Open availability for mornings, afternoons, alternating weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Provide routine daily care, including feeding, walking, exercising, and bathing animals
  • Exercise dogs throughout the day
  • Clean and sanitize cages and runs
  • Keep kennel areas organized, comfortable, and free of safety hazards
  • Clean clinic floors and help maintain a clean hospital environment
  • Administer oral medications prescribed by veterinarians
  • Observe patients for changes in behavior or health and promptly communicate concerns to technicians or doctors
  • Provide compassionate care to animals who may be scared, stressed, or injured
  • Maintain accurate records and logs
  • Support veterinary technicians and doctors as needed
  • Help provide outstanding service to clients and exceptional care to their pets
