About The Position

Pet Paradise is seeking a Pet Bather to support its grooming department and provide safe, attentive bathing care for pets. The role includes bathing pets before scheduled grooming appointments and providing go-home baths when requested by clients or management. Depending on training, the Pet Bather may also perform nail trims, brush teeth, and clean ears. The position requires keeping pets secure and comfortable, maintaining clean bathing stations and ready-to-use tools, and promptly seeking help if a pet shows unusual stress. Pet Paradise describes its workplace as focused on caring for pets and supporting team members’ growth. Employees may apply for company training programs in leadership, dog training, and grooming. The company operates pet day camp, boarding, grooming, and veterinary services. The position’s stated starting rate is $13.50 per hour, with a $0.50 increase six months after hire and another $0.50 increase on the annual anniversary date.

Requirements

Ability to handle a variety of animals safely and comfortably.
Physical strength, mobility, and stamina to lift or move heavy pets or objects from time to time.
Ability to calmly handle and bathe pets that may be scared or hesitant.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail.
Flexibility to accommodate scheduling needs, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

Nice To Haves

Prior animal handling experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the grooming department by bathing pets before scheduled grooming appointments.
Provide go-home baths as requested by clients or management.
As trained, perform nail trims, brush teeth, and clean ears safely.
Secure and reassure pets to support their safety and comfort.
Keep bathing stations clean and tools cleaned and ready for the next use.
Ask for assistance immediately if a pet demonstrates unusual stress.
Perform other duties as assigned.
