About The Position

F&W Pest Control of MA is looking to hire a full-time, entry-level Pest Control Technician. This is a position for those with little-to-no previous experience in the pest control industry, though prior experience is always welcome. This role offers the opportunity to learn a trade, grow your career, and expand your financial opportunities. The position involves working in the field rather than in a cubicle.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid).
Ability to work in the field independently, manage route-based assignments, and interact with customers.
Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity.
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc., including the ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator.
Willing to work in different types of weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in the pest control industry is welcome.

Responsibilities

Serve as a problem solver for customers by using training and attention to detail to determine the most efficient pest solution.
Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and discuss additional services.
Follow a route schedule within an assigned territory, allowing for flexibility with customer and weather factors, and ensure timely and safe arrival.
Operate a company vehicle safely and ensure its cleanliness, as well as the cleanliness of equipment.
Complete all required service-related documentation and use a provided hand-held device for speed and accuracy.
