About The Position

Orkin is hiring a Pest Control Technician to serve customers on a daily route and provide pest protection to homes and businesses. No prior pest control experience is required; Orkin provides paid training from day one. The role involves inspecting properties, identifying pest issues, communicating solutions, recommending additional services, and safely operating and maintaining company vehicles and equipment. Technicians complete reports and documentation using a handheld device. The position offers career advancement opportunities in leadership, sales, or management. Average first-year earnings are between $50,000 and $60,000.

Requirements

• Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and stay organized.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment; the company pays for it.
• Ability to use a ladder safely within the manufacturer's weight capacity.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, and rooftops.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator.
• Willingness to climb, crawl, and work in various weather conditions.
