As a Pest Control Technician, you'll spend your day helping other people in the community by solving their pest issues and building long-term relationships via honesty, empathy, and outstanding customer service. You'll spend your day traveling to appointments and meeting with customers to assess pest problems in and around their homes and workplaces and executing specialized treatment plans. You will seek to solve existing pest problems and recommend corrective actions to prevent issues.

Requirements

  • Enthusiastic and dedicated with a keen eye for detail and love of customer service.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Held a valid driver's license for at least 3 years with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Good oral and written communication.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule (between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.).
  • Availability to work some weekends.
  • High school degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Assess pest problems in and around customers' homes and workplaces.
  • Execute specialized treatment plans.
  • Recommend corrective actions to prevent pest issues.
  • Safely move about customer locations, ascend/descend stairs and ladders to service out of way areas, and position yourself to conduct service under/around furniture, equipment, and tight spaces.
  • Safely move items and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Work outdoors in all regular seasonal weather conditions.
  • Assist in various service departments within the branch as needed.
  • Measure and mix product applications accurately.
  • Operate a variety of hand tools and equipment safely.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes an OSHA compliant respirator in some cases.
  • Utilize computers and smart phones for technical proficiency.
