About The Position

Modern Pest Services is seeking a Pest Control Technician to service clients in Portland, ME and surrounding areas. This role involves solving pest challenges, building client relationships, and protecting homes and businesses from dangerous, destructive, and disease-carrying pests. The company values hardworking individuals with a strong customer service mindset and welcomes those seeking a new opportunity, a career change, a supportive team with growth opportunities, and a management team that sets them up for success. After successful completion of paid training and obtaining state-specific pesticide applicator's licenses, technicians will work independently. Each morning, they will drive a company-owned vehicle directly to their first client’s home or business, traveling along a pre-scheduled route. At each stop, technicians will build and maintain client relationships, assess the extent of infestations, customize and execute effective and safe treatment plans, and offer education and preventative measures. Utilizing critical thinking and expertise, technicians will conduct thorough interior and exterior inspections to monitor pest activity, offer immediate and preventative pest management plans, and advise clients on both chemical and natural pest control remediation options. They will safely administer pest control measures, including spraying for insects and using bait or traps for rodents, and recommend long-term solutions like eco-friendly, all-digital SMART solutions. Modern Pest trains technicians to protect communities against common household pests such as ants, flies, bees/wasps, cockroaches, pantry pests, fleas, rodents, ticks, and mosquitos.
