About The Position
AL Pest Control is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Pest Control Technician to provide residential and commercial pest management services. The successful candidate will inspect properties, identify pest infestations, apply approved treatment methods, educate customers on prevention strategies, and ensure all services are performed safely and in compliance with company standards and state regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily route.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer or mobile device proficiency for electronic service reporting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to safely handle chemicals and operate application equipment.
- Dependable, professional, and self-motivated.
Nice To Haves
- Louisiana Pest Control Technician License preferred (or ability to obtain within designated timeframe).
- Previous pest control, maintenance, landscaping, construction, or customer service experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify pest activity and recommend treatment solutions.
- Apply pesticides, insecticides, rodenticides, and other approved pest control products according to label instructions and company procedures.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for insects, rodents, termites, mosquitoes, and other common pests.
- Communicate with customers regarding treatment recommendations, service results, and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and treatment documentation.
- Operate company vehicles and maintain service equipment in a clean and safe condition.
- Follow all OSHA, EPA, state, and company safety regulations regarding pesticide handling and application.
- Respond professionally to customer concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain inventory of chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
- Participate in ongoing safety and technical training.
