About The Position

Pointe Pest Control is seeking a Pest Control Service Technician responsible for providing pest remediation and prevention solutions to commercial or residential structures. This role involves operating a pest control route, applying pesticides according to safety procedures and label instructions, and ensuring timely arrival at customer homes. The technician will discuss service scope with customers, assist in sales, and utilize in-house training to determine efficient pest solutions. They will provide excellent pest control and eradication services, recommend and estimate treatments, and complete all scheduled appointments. The technician will act as a subject matter expert for customers, implement efficient pest solutions, use safety equipment, and maintain a professional appearance and equipment, including the company vehicle. The role requires full attention and time dedicated to duties as directed by supervisors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong Communication skills effectively through verbal, written and in person.
  • Strong customer service and in-person presentation skills.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs and be able to kneel and bend as necessary for a job.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
  • Self-motivated and results driven.
  • Valid Driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and be able to use an iPad (provided by the company)
  • Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients and other employees.

Nice To Haves

  • $750 Sign on Bonus for Valid IDPH License.
  • Pest Control experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a pest control route.
  • Apply pesticides to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions.
  • Follow a daily schedule, ensuring timely arrival at each of your customer's home.
  • Discuss the scope of service with the customer.
  • Assist in sales.
  • Utilize in-house training provided to decide the most efficient pest solution for your customer's needs.
  • Provide your customers with the best pest control and eradication services in the industry.
  • Recommend and provide estimates for one-time treatments and continual maintenance to new and existing customers.
  • Complete all scheduled customer appointments on time in accordance with all applicable Company policies and local rules and regulations.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for customers by implementing the most efficient and overall best pest solution for each customer's individual needs.
  • Use all safety equipment as instructed.
  • Maintain professional appearance and equipment in working order including but not limited to vehicle, uniform, application equipment, PPE, paperwork, and literature etc.
  • Devote your full attention and time, during working hours, to the performance of your duties and responsibilities as directed by your supervisor and the Company.
