Pest Control Technician

About The Position
Orkin is hiring a Pest Control Technician to provide pest protection to residential and business customers on a daily route. The role includes inspecting properties, identifying pest issues, explaining solutions, recommending additional services, safely operating and maintaining company vehicles and equipment, and completing reports on a handheld device. No previous pest control experience is required; paid training is provided from the first day. The position offers an opportunity to build a career in pest control, with potential advancement into leadership, sales, or management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment; the company pays for it.
- Ability to use a ladder safely within the manufacturer's weight capacity.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, and rooftops.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, sometimes including an OSHA-compliant respirator.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service.
- Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work independently and stay organized.
- Willingness to climb, crawl, and work in various weather conditions.
