About The Position

Presto Pest Control is a leader in the mid-Atlantic region, providing ultimate commercial pest protection to customers in restaurants, hotels, retail, property management, and healthcare. The company is growing and seeking a full-time Pest Control Technician for the Baltimore, MD and surrounding areas. The role involves performing pest control inspections and services for commercial customers on a defined route, applying pesticides, recommending and providing estimates for services, and assisting with generating new sales leads. The position requires early morning starts but does not typically involve nights or weekends, though flexibility may be needed for urgent customer requests. Pay is commensurate with experience, with a range of $22.00-$25.00/hour.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong Communication skills effectively through verbal, written and in person.
  • Strong customer service and in-person presentation skills.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs and be able to kneel and bend as necessary for a job.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
  • Self-motivated and results driven.
  • Valid Driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Have a minimum of 2 yrs’ commercial pest control experience.
  • Don't mind very early hours (start early, finish early).
  • Have a consistent work history & track record of dependability.
  • Thrive on building relationships and providing excellent service.
  • Basic computer literacy required (smart phone, email, basic Excel).

Responsibilities

  • Recommend and provide estimates for one-time treatments and continual maintenance to new and existing customers.
  • Complete all scheduled customer appointments on time in accordance with all applicable Company policies and local rules and regulations.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for customers by implementing the most efficient and overall best pest solution for each customer's individual needs.
  • Use all safety equipment as instructed.
  • Maintain professional appearance and equipment in working order including but not limited to vehicle, uniform, application equipment, PPE, paperwork, and literature etc.
  • Devote your full attention and time, during working hours, to the performance of your duties and responsibilities as directed by your supervisor and the Company.
  • Perform pest control inspections and services for commercial customers on a defined route.
  • Complete all stops or reschedule within a specified time frame.
  • Apply pesticides according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries quickly and thoroughly via email, text, phone call.
  • Assist with generating new sales leads.
  • Visit potential new customers and sign them up for service.
