Pest Control Applicator
About The Position
Ball State University Facilities Planning and Management has an opportunity to work on the beautiful campus. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Must possess a valid commercial or public applicator pesticide license for one of the following categories: ornamentals, turf grass, or industrial / institutional / health related pests.
- Must have a minimum of two years of experience in pest control applications.
- Must obtain certification in the two categories not in possession at the time of hire within a reasonable time period after hire as determined by Ball State University.
- Must be able to read and comprehend all specified policies and procedures for safety, hazardous materials information, University policies, procedures, and communications and perform mathematical calculations.
- Must possess and maintain a For Hire endorsement or obtain one within a reasonable period of time and be insurable under the university’s auto fleet policy.
- Must be able to perform all mental and physical requirements as outlined in each job duty.
- Must be 18 years of age.
Nice To Haves
- Commercial or public applicator pesticide license in mosquitoes and/or termites.
- Over two (2) years experience as a Pest Control applicator.
Responsibilities
- Perform inside and outside pest control.
- Maintain required certifications.
- Maintain records relating to pesticide applications.
- Oversee chemical application performed by non-certified personnel.
- Perform duties and responsibilities of Physical Plan Worker as assigned.
