About The Position
DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Personnel Specialist to support emergency response operations at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The role provides personnel and operational support for emergency response duty officer activities and supports the CDC’s ability to coordinate and respond effectively during public health emergencies and other critical events. This is a 100% in-person position requiring on-site support at CDC facilities.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; a minimum of four years of experience is an acceptable substitute for a degree.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook Mail.
- Ability to communicate needs effectively during briefings to assist with operational strategy.
- Ability to identify gaps in existing resources.
- Ability to multitask in emergency situations.
- Flexibility and a strong sense of urgency.
- Interpersonal communication skills, including telephone, email, and business etiquette.
- Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- Emergency management staffing and deployment experience.
- Experience working with operational data, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel to organize, filter, analyze, and manipulate datasets.
- Experience developing reports, dashboards, or data visualizations using Microsoft Power BI.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate IMS Staffing actions between the response and CIOs.
- Conduct responder searches and coordinate assignments for assigned task forces.
- Prepare response-related data and tracking products as needed.
