About The Position

The Special Access Program Security team is responsible for ensuring the security of classified information for Anduril’s most sensitive programs and contracts. The team has individuals located across the country and works in a collaborative manner to ensure the security of Anduril and government information, and Anduril’s defense products. We are looking for a Personnel Security Specialist to join our rapidly growing team at our Headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA. This is a security position requiring a qualified security professional in support of special access program initiatives. As a Personnel Security Specialist, you will be responsible for providing personnel security support for Special Access Programs (SAP) in accordance with DoDM 5205.07, DoDM 5200.02, Security Executive Agent Directives (SEADs), and customer-specific security requirements. This position is responsible for administering day-to-day personnel security processes, ensuring timely and accurate access determinations, maintaining personnel security records, and supporting mission-critical SAP operations. The Personnel Security Specialist serves as a trusted advisor to Contractor SAP Security Officers (CSSOs), program leadership, government customers, and internal stakeholders while ensuring compliance with applicable personnel security policies and procedures. This is a full-time, on-site position supporting classified SAP programs. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting DoD classified programs.
  • Working knowledge of: Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
  • Joint Access Database Environment (JADE)
  • DoDM 5205.07 – Special Access Program Security Manual
  • DoDM 5200.02 – DoD Personnel Security Program
  • Security Executive Agent Directive (SEAD) 3 – Reporting Requirements
  • Security Executive Agent Directive (SEAD) 4 – National Security Adjudicative Guidelines
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access.
  • Ability to successfully complete a polygraph, if required by the customer.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience processing Program Access Requests (PARs), SAP nominations, indoctrinations, debriefings, transfers, reinstatements, and visit requests.
  • Experience maintaining personnel security records, access rosters, and audit documentation.
  • Experience supporting government inspections or compliance reviews.
  • Experience supporting multiple SAP programs simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working within a government contractor environment supporting Department of War customers.

Responsibilities

  • Administer SAP personnel security activities in accordance with DoDM 5205.07, DoDM 5200.02, SEADs, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Prepare, review, process, and maintain Program Access Requests (PARs), SAP nominations, indoctrinations, debriefings, transfers, reinstatements, and access revocations.
  • Review personnel eligibility and access requirements using Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Joint Access Database Environment (JADE), and other approved government systems.
  • Maintain accurate personnel security records, access rosters, billet management records, databases, trackers, and audit documentation.
  • Coordinate with government customers, PSOs, CPSOs, Human Resources, hiring managers, and internal security partners to facilitate timely personnel security actions.
  • Monitor personnel security actions and proactively resolve discrepancies impacting program access.
  • Verify personnel eligibility through the review of Personnel Security Questionnaires (PSQs) and ensure compliance with reporting requirements prior to granting SAP access.
  • Process visit certifications and support personnel access requirements for classified meetings and program activities.
  • Support government inspections, self-inspections, internal audits, and compliance reviews by ensuring personnel security documentation is complete, accurate, and inspection-ready.
  • Provide guidance to employees, managers, and program teams regarding personnel security requirements, reporting obligations, and SAP access procedures.
  • Assist with personnel security awareness and education initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain personnel security metrics, reports, and dashboards to support leadership decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to improve personnel security processes, standardize workflows, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Protect classified information and personally identifiable information (PII) in accordance with applicable security policies.
