About The Position

St. Michael’s is hiring a Personnel Security Specialist to support a Department of Defense (DoD) client. As the Personnel Security Specialist, you will manage aspects of the personnel security and security clearance lifecycle for personnel under the cognizance of the SSO. You will be in a client-facing role that will benefit from your previous experience conducting initial investigation preparation/submissions, monitoring/providing updates on clearance status, access nominations, indoctrinations, debriefings, sending/receiving visit certifications. Requirements

  • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (current or with investigation deferral action within the last three (3) years)
  • 1 year of experience with managing personnel security aspects of the SCI security clearance lifecycle from initial investigation, adjudication, access nomination, indoctrination, reinvestigation/deferral, debriefing, self/managed reporting and have full understanding of Trusted Workforce 2.0 framework and implementation.
  • 6 months of experience with personnel security reporting requirements within applicable national, intelligence community and Department of Defense policy.
  • High School diploma or GED
  • CDSE Introduction to Personnel Security PS113.16
  • CDSE Identifying and Safeguarding Personally Identifiable Information (PII) DS-IF101.06

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of security management functions in support of the J2 Special Security Office (SSO) to include personnel security.
  • Open/close Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) as necessary with coordination by the SSO Physical Security Manager and POCs within the SCIF.
  • Manage aspects of the personnel security and security clearance lifecycle for personnel under the cognizance of the SSO.
  • Primary duties will involve SCI personnel security and will include but are not limited to initial investigation preparation/submissions, monitoring/providing updates on clearance status, access nominations, indoctrinations, debriefings, sending/receiving visit certifications, event SCI security management, access control, reportable information processing, file management, and other duties as assigned.
  • Other duties may include participation in security inspections, providing surge support to other SCI security disciplines, and providing guidance/recommendations/implementation assistance with overall process improvement.
