Through hands-on experiences, you'll gain exposure to a variety of Personnel functions, including recruiting, onboarding, employee records management, compliance, HR systems, reporting, employee engagement, and process improvement. Experiences will vary based on your interests, strengths, and business needs, providing opportunities to learn how Personnel supports employees and leaders throughout the employee lifecycle. This flexible and personalized approach allows you to build valuable professional skills while exploring multiple areas within the Personnel team. Experiences include the following areas: Support day-to-day administrative and operational processes across multiple business functions. Assist with data entry, reporting, document management, and record maintenance. Learn and utilize business systems, databases, and Microsoft Office tools to support operational needs. Prepare reports and communications for internal stakeholders. Assist with customer, employee, or internal team requests by researching information and providing timely support. Take ownership of assigned projects and complete work accurately and on schedule. Gain exposure to areas such as project coordination, administration, operations support, process improvement, and business analytics. Build an understanding of Daktronics products, practices, procedures, and business operations through hands-on experience and mentorship.

Requirements

  • The preferred applicant will be a student registered in at least 12 credits.
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Business, Consumer Behavior, Economics, Entrepreneurial Studies, or a closely related field.
  • The preferred applicant will be in their sophomore or junior year of school.
  • Only strong academic performers will be considered and must maintain an acceptable GPA.
  • Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be submitted with application.
  • Work Availability: Approximately 15 hours per week during the academic year (maximum of 20 hours). Up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
  • Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
  • Reliable and capable of working independently while maintaining productivity in a remote environment.
  • Eager to learn and contribute to new projects, including the use of unfamiliar software and tools.
  • Adaptable to shifting priorities and evolving responsibilities.
  • Proficient in general computer use, including accurate keyboarding skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
