About The Position

The Sun Prairie YMCA of Dane County is looking for Personal Trainers that can work with our diverse clientele. Join the Y Team, get a FREE membership!

Requirements

Current Personal Trainer certification
At least one year experience preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Requires knowledge of fitness program development, conditioning principles, and exercise physiology.
Flexibility in scheduling is preferred in creating schedule.
Be able to maintain schedule.
Proficient using a computer
Ability to follow directions work independently and in a team / group setting

Responsibilities

Provides high quality, safe and motivating training based on individual needs and feedback; provides adaptations based on individual needs.
Performs orientations to create opportunities to attract clients for Personal Training
Increases member retention by providing personalized member experiences and building positive relationships with and among members, staff, volunteers and/or guests.
Creates a supportive and uplifting community environment.
Facilitates the development of small communities, helping members to connect with other members.
Ensures the safety of all members and guests.
Helps keep the fitness center organized and clean
Any other tasks designated by the Fitness Coordinator
