About The Position
The Westfield Area Y is looking for certified Personal Trainers to join our growing Health & Wellness team. This role involves instructing clients on the usage and function of exercise equipment across various areas of the facility, designing personalized exercise programs, performing fitness testing, and ensuring timely renewal of certifications. The position offers a pay range of $27.00-$30.00 per hour, based on certifications held.
Requirements
- CPR for the professional rescuer, First Aid with EPI and Asthma required
- Personal Training certification from a nationally recognized organization
- Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous Personal Training experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Instruct clients on the usage and function of all the exercise equipment in the Free Weight Room, Strength Training Room, Cardio Room, and Fitness Centers at the Y
- Lift and move exercise equipment
- Design exercise programs for those with special needs and health concerns
- Perform fitness testing and evaluations for clients
- Responsible for renewing all certifications on time
