Requirements

CPR and AED certification required
Able to speak English fluently
Able to reach with hands and arms, able to push, pull or lift up to 30 pounds
Required to spend long periods on own feet

Nice To Haves

Post graduate degree preferred
National certification by IHRSA approved certification body for Personal Training preferred
Possess the ability to work without direct supervision
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment
Courteous to all members and guests as well as fellow staff
Builds and maintains positive relationships with Members and their Guests
Punctual: always arrives at work on time

Responsibilities

Ensure that each Member completes a standard health risk appraisal prior to beginning the training regimen
Ensure that all training sessions are entered into the club POS system properly
Conduct yourself in a professional manner and be on time for all appointments
Assist members by answering questions and helping to show them how to use various pieces of equipment
Customize training regimen and instruction for Members based upon their unique fitness condition
Ensure that all workouts are conducted in a safe manner, consistent with national certification guidelines
Assist with the cleanliness and maintenance of fitness center facilities
Participate in fitness center promotional activities
Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by Members
