About The Position

Under the direction and supervision of the Program Director, the Specialty Program Instructor I will be primarily responsible for providing quality leadership and supervision, in classes, while maintaining a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must meet requirements of current National Organization for Competency Assurance (NOCA) certified personal training certification
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding personal information on children, family and YMCA staff
  • Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention and New Employee Orientation or the ability to obtain within 60-90 days of employment

Nice To Haves

  • A degree in physical education, exercise science or other health related field
  • Professional experience in personal training

Responsibilities
