The Personal Trainer/Performance Coach is responsible for delivering high-quality private and small group training sessions to clients of all fitness levels. This role focuses on helping individuals move better, feel better, and perform better by designing customized training programs that align with their goals. The Personal Trainer must create an engaging and supportive environment while ensuring all training follows best practices in exercise science and safety. The position will initially involve approximately 10–15 hours per week, with a need for individuals interested in working 3–4 evenings per week training hockey athletes. This role may also involve working at multiple facilities (Mount Prospect and Rosemont), offering the chance to train athletes across different locations. Ideal candidates are motivated, reliable, and eager to gain hands-on experience in sports performance training, coaching, and athlete development. Founded in 1991, IBJI is the largest orthopedic group practice in Illinois. With more than 150 physicians in every orthopedic specialty, IBJI offers care for adults and children from some of the most accomplished and respected orthopedists in the country. Serving northern Illinois and northwest Indiana with over 100 locations, IBJI makes it easy to access care. Our headquarters is in Park Ridge, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago. Our clinical services include advanced MRI imaging, pain management, non-surgical and surgical treatment plans, rheumatology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, wellness, and sports and sports training. Ortho Access walk-in clinics provide same day care for orthopedic injuries. Comprehensive care offered all in one place enables physicians, therapists and staff to work closely together, so that patients and families achieve better outcomes. Collaborative care is also more efficient. In many cases, IBJI services are substantially less expensive than those provided by large healthcare systems and emergency rooms. When designated by management, the employee in this role may additionally function as a Clinical Fitness Specialist operating across OrthoHealth and HPI divisions. In this hybrid capacity, the employee’s scope of work expands to include serving as a clinical rehabilitation aide and exercise technician under the guidance of the physical therapy team. Responsibilities include taking medically referred patients through specialized metabolic, weight management, and chronic disease prevention protocols, while collaborating closely within an integrated care team (physicians, physical therapists, dietitians, and nurse practitioners) to ensure a seamless care continuum.
