About The Position
Qualicare Homecare is seeking a part-time Personal Support Worker (PSW) for a client located in the Don Valley Parkway and York Mills Rd area. This role involves assisting clients with their daily routines, providing companionship, and ensuring a safe and comfortable home environment. The position offers part-time flexibility with specific shifts available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 am to 1 pm, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts for those seeking more hours.
Requirements
- Personal Support Worker Certificate
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Clear Police Record Check (Vulnerable Sector Screening) or willingness to obtain one.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray.
- Reliable internet access and a mobile phone.
Responsibilities
- Assist with morning care routine.
- Meal preparation and light housekeeping to ensure a comfortable home environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist clients with ambulation, outings, and errands.
- Support with medication reminders and basic health tasks.
- Follow and update care plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and charting.
- Help clients manage daily activities with care and dignity.
- Assist client to her own condo.
- Housekeeping and organizing home.
