About The Position

As a Personal Support Worker (PSW) at Circle of Care, you will support seniors living in their own homes by following established care plans. Your responsibilities will include providing hands-on personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and meal preparation. You may also assist with light housekeeping and offer companionship and emotional support. This role involves traveling between client homes within your community during the day. While having a car is helpful, it is not a mandatory requirement. You will maintain regular contact with coordinators and supervisors for support and scheduling management.

Requirements

  • Current immunization records
  • Ability to communicate clearly in spoken and written English
  • Ability to work at least one day every other weekend (at a premium rate) and be available at least 24 hours each week
  • PSW certificate (approved Ontario curriculum) OR DSW certification OR RN/RPN student (minimum one year completed) OR Internationally trained RN, RPN, midwife, or physician OR Home Support Worker, Health Care Aide, Personal Attendant OR RN, RPN, Paramedic OR OTA/PTA, CDA, Child & Youth Care OR Internationally trained allied health professionals

Benefits

  • Starting rate: $21.11 per hour, plus a $3.00/hour Permanent Compensation Enhancement, with additional increases based on tenure.
  • A $0.60/hour premium applies to evening and weekend shifts.
  • Partial TTC/Mileage Reimbursement: Reimbursement of up to 65% of the cost of a monthly TTC pass for PSWs who are driving their own vehicle or taking public transit.
