About The Position

This is a part-time, permanent position within the Respiratory Care Unit, affiliated with CUPE Service. The role involves working day and evening shifts. Bilingualism is required for this position. A Vulnerable Sector Check is also a requirement.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Personal Support Worker Certificate from an accredited college or equivalent.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate is required.
• Ministry of Labour “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” training certificate is required.
• Minimum of six (6) months of experience working as a Personal Support Worker in a hospital setting.
• Demonstrated interpersonal / communication skills.
• Demonstrated positive work record and good attendance record.
• Criminal record check satisfactory to the Hospital is required.

Nice To Haves

• Current certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) and Gentle Persuasion Approaches to Dementia Care (GPA) are assets.
