About The Position

Home Care Assistance is seeking two female Personal Support Workers (PSWs) in the Beaverton area to provide care. This is a casual position where individuals will pick up shifts as needed. Shift start times can range from 7 am to 10 am, with shifts lasting 6-7 hours per day, Monday to Friday. The role involves providing comprehensive care to clients, including personal care, household tasks, and emotional support, while maintaining open communication with clients and their families.

Requirements

• PSW certification is required
• Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
• Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within last 6 months
• Drivers License and own insured vehicle is required
• Satisfactory professional references
• Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters

Nice To Haves

• CPI training is an asset

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care
• House Cleaning and Laundry Daily
• Providing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support
• Provide behavioral support and crisis intervention
• Maintaining open communication with client and their family
• Monitoring care plan and adding documentation with any changes and updates
• Responding to all emergency situations
• All other duties, as assigned
