Requirements

Personal Support Worker Certification from a certified educational facility OR internationally educated nurse.
Strong drive, respect, and an understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role.
Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required.
Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one.

Nice To Haves

Volunteer/working experience in a Senior Living setting is an asset, not required.

Responsibilities

Support and deliver personalized activities of daily living that meet resident needs, including ambulatory support, personal hygiene, companionship, and nutritional support.
Act as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team, building trusted relationships with residents, families, and teams through continuous and effective communication.
Document the completion of tasks on an electronic health record platform throughout the shift.
Quickly identify and communicate changes in resident care needs to clinical leads.
