About The Position

Requirements

• Must have either Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate or Nursing students, or International Educated Nurses or Health Care Aid
• Previous hands-on experience providing personal care to clients is preferred.
• Must have a recent Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Experience in pediatric care for developmentally delayed patients
• A caregiver who engages fully with clients—present, attentive, and relationship-focused, not just task-focused
• Experience with assisted transfers and total feeding support
• Reliable and consistent

Nice To Haves

• Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate is considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Assisting individuals with daily living such as personal care and hygiene (i.e., Toileting, bathing, feeding, etc.)
• Light housekeeping
• Laundry
• Meal preparation
• Nutrition
• Shift reports
• Creating activity plans
• Maintain complete and confidential information for each individual supported
• Provide social/emotional support to clients and their families
• Accompany clients and assist them with walking, exercise, and mobility
