About The Position

ILS is an Ontario Health funded not for profit agency providing support and services to adults wishing to live independently in their homes. Through our programs and services, we are able to assist adults living with permanent physical disabilities and seniors aging at home lead independent, dignified, and productive lives. Reporting to the Supervisor of Staffing, ILS Attendants provide high quality support services that enable clients to live independently, within their community. Under limited supervision, this role includes assisting clients in their homes with non-medical activities of daily living (ADLs), and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) as required and as outlined in the client’s individual service plan, under the direction of the client.

Requirements

  • Personal Support Worker Certification, RN, RPN, DSW or a minimum of 3000 hours demonstrated work experience in community care/long-term care/healthcare setting.
  • Current First Aid and CPR level C Certification, successful Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license to travel to and from client homes.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of and abilities in transferring, lifting, bowel and bladder routines and other Attendant care duties.
