About The Position

Woodlands Senior Living Rockland Community is seeking compassionate and dependable Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to join their team. They offer a variety of schedules, including full-time, part-time, and per diem, with flexible shifts available. Woodlands is the first senior living organization in Maine to earn accreditation from The Joint Commission and is a Maine-based, family-owned organization specializing in assisted living and memory care. Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
Must commit to obtaining PSS certification within 120 days of hire.
Must provide proof of immunization/immunity to MMR, Varicella and Influenza.

Nice To Haves

Current PSS certification preferred

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Previous experience in senior living, healthcare, or customer service is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
Support residents with instrumental activities of daily living such as meal service, light housekeeping, and communication assistance.
Respond promptly and professionally to resident call lights and requests for assistance.
Assist with resident engagement opportunities and recreational activities as assigned.
Observe and report changes in resident condition or behavior to the appropriate team members.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and services provided.
Promote a resident-centered environment that supports choice, independence, and well-being.
