About The Position

PRN Live-In (work 7 days on and 7 days off) Working Monday 2pm-Monday 9am. You may have to cover a shift for a day or so. You are off between the hours of 9am-2pm (Monday-Friday). Assist individuals with daily living activities at a residential care facility. Duties performed may include and are not limited to the following: Administer personal care, such as ambulation or personal hygiene assistance. Prepare and maintain records of client progress and services performed, reporting changes in client condition to manager or supervisor. Perform housekeeping duties, such as cooking, cleaning, washing clothes or dishes, or running errands. Care for individuals by providing companionship, personal care, or help in adjusting to new lifestyles. Perform healthcare-related tasks, such as monitoring vital signs and medication, Transport individuals to locations outside the home, such as to physicians' offices or on outings, using a motor vehicle. Plan, shop for, or prepare nutritious meals or assist families in planning, shopping for, or preparing nutritious meals.

Requirements

High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate
Evidence of a CNA or Home Health Aide Skills Assessment Certificate (If you are not licensed you must pass the Home Health Aide Skills Assessment which we offer here. We do provide the in-house training).
Possess caring and understanding attitude toward individuals, who are elderly, disabled or frail
Be flexible and tolerant of varied lifestyles
Strong interpersonal communication skills with clients.
Be able to work under supervision and within the guidelines of a care plan
Be in good health
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
Possess a valid driver’s license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job
Tuberculosis Screening Test Results

CPR
Recent Motor Vehicle Report (If you are currently insured you may obtain this report from your insurance provider. If you are not insured you may request a copy from the DMV at a minimal charge)
Background Check (You may request a copy from your local Police Department at a minimal charge)

Nice To Haves

Current CPR Certificate is recommended
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred)
One year experience providing support services in a similar environment (preferred)
