Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Business Management, Economics, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain analytical findings to various audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Experience using SQL or SAS; familiarity with Python or R is a plus.
  • Understanding of statistical concepts and analytical methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Interest in the insurance industry and how data-driven insights support business decisions.
  • Natural curiosity and the ability to ask thoughtful questions to better understand business challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving business environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of sophomore or junior year preferred.
  • Involvement in student activities, leadership experiences, internships, or relevant work experience preferred.
  • 3.0 GPA or higher desired.
  • Prior internship, coursework, student project experience, or demonstrated interest in Claims, Personal Lines, or the broader insurance industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieving, preparing, and analyzing data from internal and external sources to support business analysis and reporting.
  • Leveraging analytical and statistical techniques to identify trends, evaluate business performance, and communicate findings to business partners.
  • Completing tasks involving business intelligence, reporting, root cause analysis, and ad hoc business analyses.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and data visualizations used by business leaders and stakeholders.
  • Applying quantitative methods to help solve business problems and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Assisting in the interpretation of data and development of recommendations that improve operational performance and business outcomes.
  • Presenting findings, reports, presentations, and other materials that communicate actionable insights.
  • Participating in department and company meetings, special projects, and professional development opportunities.
  • Demonstrating curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and business concepts.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
